Dr. Malia Haleakala

Dr. Malia Haleakala is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician, and a Fellow of Wild Health’s Precision Medicine Training Program. She earned her medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, and completed emergency medicine residency training at Wayne State University Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Haleakala practices emergency medicine back home in Hawai’i, also serving as the Emergency Department Medical Director in three of the hospitals on Hawai’i Island.

Seeing the great toll chronic disease takes on loved ones in her own life drove Dr. Haleakala to pursue medicine in the first place. So, she pursued alternative medicine, natural remedies, and a focus on lifestyle factors, all of which, along with the evidence-based approach, led her to Wild Health.
